What it is: A skin-care collection that harnesses the power of Edelweiss, a “rare mountain flower that grows in Alpine environments.”
The flower is billed as being “naturally strengthened” with leontopodic acid, which has antioxidant properties, according to the brand. The flower extract ingredients are also said to have 43 per cent more antioxidant power than retinol, protecting the skin against pollution and environmental aggressors.
The recently released Edelweiss collection includes an array of products powered by the plant including a Serum Concentrate Sheet Mask, Eye Concentrate, Smoothing Day Cream, Liquid Peel and more.
What we say: Our tester put a few of the Edelweiss collection products to use, subbing them in for her usual go-to skin care products.
The Cleansing Concentrate, a gel-like cleanser with ingredients that are 95 per cent of natural origin, gently cleansed skin leaving it feeling soft and fresh without feeling stripped.
The Bouncy Jelly Mist, designed to maintain skin’s moisture barrier, provided an instant hit of hydration that absorbed nicely. She followed the application of the spray product with a few drops of the Daily Serum Concentrate.
Previously called Drops of Youth, a bestseller for the brand, the reformulated serum features double the amount of Edelweiss ingredients for a more potent boost to skin. Our tester found the non-stick formula absorbed nicely and left her skin feeling hydrated.
The Intense Smoothing Day Cream gave skin a heavier hit of moisture, with its rich cream formulation. Our tester found a little went a long way.
Among the release, the Bouncy Night Mask became a fast-favourite. Worn overnight as a renewing face mask, the gel-cream consistency product left skin feeling fully hydrated and refreshed.
